This project aims to highlight some of the obscure, overlooked, and/or underrated musical talents around the globe without restriction to genres or decades. This also attempts to give credit where credit is due to semi-popular or iconic music, without overexposing and "clichéing" it even further. I will attempt to do so in my own way. I won't confine myself to the unpopular or the conventional because there is always someone who hasn't heard of something else.

"I Want to Hold you by the Bridle:" Fake Furs
(credits: Jonathan Brock)
As my first little snippet of 2012, I am doing a mini-homage to my pal and his band's new song: I Want to Hold you by the Bridle. I'm posting a link to this song by the Fake Furs (LA) not only because Laszlo (vocals, etc lol) is my pal, but because I've honestly always genuinely loved his work (I've harassed him for CD's for years, ask him!).
I enjoy the versatile scope of his music since I first met him, as well as how he has developed with his new bandmate: Sonny. I had the pleasure of seeing the Fake Furs first show ever and am somewhat proud of that because I expect them to become very successful in what they do. If they don't, I'll be extremely disappointed in LA music listeners (that means you!).
So, in conclusion, if you want to hear something rich and meaningful with raw hunger and force (not some random disposable crap by a band seeking solely fame for fame's sake), then please do yourself a big favor and check out the Fake Furs. You're an idiot if you dont lol, juuust kidding.
